More trains and fishing
We spent the weekend in Thames. It was good. It's always good. Adam went out fishing in the new boat Flattie bought and they came home with a bin full of snapper, a kahawai and a gurnard. The gurnard was gorgeous to look at, even dead as it was. Ads caught a snapper and was rapt and we had fish for lunch on Sunday.
The weekend was also the Open Weekend for the Thames Small Gauge Railway Society so a little time was devoted to that. The weather was good and they had a huge turnout of locos on the track and tons of passengers happily paying their buck for a seat and a ride. Of course, no trip would be complete without a stop at Goldfield's Railway in Waihi on the way home.
You can see pics and some of the vids taken at Thames and Waihi at Ads blog - On the Track and all the vids at Ad's YouTube.
