Today on splodge...

Upover/Downunder

North Pole

Aurora Borealis

Pro: off the beaten track; unmolested by the ravages of industrial rape for profit; you can park your boat there; it's not far from Russia, Canada, America, Scotland and Scandinavia.
Cons: off the beaten track (seriously off the beaten track); it's not far from Russia, Canada, America, Scotland and Scandinavia; it has polar bears; it doesn't have a real fancy pole.

South Pole

Aurora Australis

Pro: it's off the beaten track (seriously off the beaten track); unmolested by the ravages of industrial rape for profit; you can't park your boat there; it's not far from New Zealand, Australia, Africa and South America; it has singing penguins. IT HAS A REAL FANCY POLE!
Con: it's off the beaten track; unmolested by the ravages of industrial rape for profit; you can't park your boat there; it's not far from Australia, Africa and South America; it has singing penguins.

Polar bears or penguins? Borealis or Australis? Personally, I prefer penguins. Even if they do sing. And the pole is pretty. I'm a sucker for shiny things.
