Today on splodge...

Unhealthy

Why the Hell is our country, which can't afford to provide decent healthcare, spending a huge amount of money building a sporting stadium for silly men with odd shaped balls to run around gripping each others nether-regions? MP Bob The Builder estimates this arena could cost as much as $1.5billion. And he knows a lot about balls.

How seriously fucked up is that? Not the Bob's balls, the stadium expenditure. It's like sending Troops to, oh I don't know... somewhere. War's an arena sport too, innit?

Oh yeah, we go to war in black and wearing the Silver Fern, not khaki and camo.

Morty, I'm shocked. Are you telling me that you dont actually live breathe & excrete rugby? Dont tell me that your in to one of those nancy girls games like netball or soccer. Dont worry girl, the whole isue will go away with the first game the AB's lose. You know we dont like losers. The ideal venue for a stadium is actually at Pukekohe. At the top of the hill you can look down into the crater there. A natural amphitheatre with no neighbours to disturb, plenty of room for parking & good access. But it wouldnt work. Its far too sensible & cheap.

The ideal location is in some other country that has too much blardy money and can't think of anything useful to spend it on. The Herald this morning says that the stadium wouldn't be used for rock groups, citing the reason that "the only acts able to sell 20,000 tickets were ageing rock bands with only a few touring years left".

As for rugby, the only time it's worth watching is when the ABs are dorking the Ozzies. And maybe the Sth Africans.
